Dover: Rumors or just general unease?

Been working here a while and lately, there's just this low-level hum of anxiety. No concrete news, no official announcements, but a lot of hushed conversations and people looking over their shoulders. Performance reviews seemed to have a different tone this year, more critical than usual. Managers are being cagey about future projects and hiring freezes seem to be in effect across a few teams. Is anyone hearing anything, even whispers? Or is this just the general economic climate bleeding into the workplace? Feels like we're on edge, and I'm trying to figure out if it's justified or just my own paranoia. Anyone else picking up on this vibe?

I've been picking up on similar vibes, actually. It's not just you. The general mood feels... off. Performance reviews did feel a bit more pointed this year, and trying to get any real details about what's next for my department has been like pulling teeth. It's the uncertainty that's the worst part, isn't it? Makes it hard to plan or feel secure in your role. Hoping it's just a temporary dip or some internal reshuffling that hasn't been communicated clearly, rather than something more serious.
