Anyone else noticing a slowdown in new projects/hiring?

Hey everyone, Been with Dropbox for a few years now, and lately, things have felt... different. Usually, we're buzzing with new initiatives and hiring has been pretty steady, at least on my team. But over the last quarter, it feels like everything's on pause. We've had fewer new projects kicking off, and I've noticed some roles we were expecting to fill haven't materialized. I'm not hearing any official word about layoffs, and my manager is being pretty tight-lipped, just talking about 'prioritization' and 'focusing resources.' It's hard not to get a bit antsy, though. Seeing what's been happening elsewhere in tech, even if it's not here directly, makes you wonder. Is anyone else on the engineering or product side seeing a similar slowdown? Or maybe in other departments? Just trying to gauge if this is a company-wide thing or just my team/org dealing with shifting priorities. Any insights or similar experiences would be helpful. Trying not to jump to conclusions, but the quietness is deafening. Thanks.

Yeah, I've been feeling a similar vibe. It's strange because the company historically felt so growth-oriented. Lately, it feels more like we're consolidating or focusing on optimizing existing products rather than expanding. Definitely a shift from the energy a year or two ago. Wondering if it's a broader tech trend or something specific to Dropbox's current strategy.

Interesting to hear others are picking up on this too. My team has definitely seen a slowdown in new assignments, and some roles that were in the pipeline seem to have been put on indefinite hold. Management is talking about 'strategic realignment' but it feels like a freeze on new growth areas. Hoping it's a temporary phase.
