Okay, so I'm on the Product Engineering team, been here almost 3 years, and a usually reliable source (think: someone who's friends with the VP's assistant) mentioned something about "resource allocation adjustments" in the coming weeks. Translation: layoffs. I know we've been pushing hard on new features, but adoption hasn't been as high as projected, apparently. Anyone else hearing anything similar in their departments? Trying to gauge how widespread this might be, and if I should be updating my resume...

Yeah, I'm on the Sales side and things have been... quiet. We haven't hit our targets for the last two quarters. Management keeps saying it's 'market volatility,' but the vibe is definitely off. I've seen this movie before. Start polishing that resume and discreetly network. Better to be prepared than caught off guard. Good luck, mate.

Take everything you hear with a huge grain of salt. These kinds of rumors crop up every few months. Remember the 'Project Falcon' scare last year? Turned out to be nothing. That said, it never hurts to be prepared. Update your resume and LinkedIn, just in case. But don't panic based on hearsay.
