Okay, I know we've talked about this before, but the whispers are getting louder. Been hearing from a few people in different departments that recruitment has basically come to a screeching halt. Not just a slow-down, but a full-on pause. Open roles are being back-burnered, and I haven't seen any new headcount approvals go through in weeks. My recruiter contact went radio silent on a req I was pushing. Just wondering if this is a company-wide thing or isolated to specific areas. If it's widespread, it feels like a pretty significant signal about the company's direction, especially with all the broader tech news lately. Anyone else getting similar vibes or have concrete info? Trying to get a pulse on what's happening.

Definitely hearing similar things. My team's been trying to get approval for a critical hire for months, and it's been nothing but delays and vague excuses. It's starting to impact our roadmap, which is frustrating. Feels like a pretty stark contrast to the growth talk from last year. Hopefully, it's a temporary adjustment and not a sign of bigger issues.

My experience has been a bit different, thankfully. While things might be slowing in some areas, my department has actually been approved for a couple of new roles recently. However, the hiring process has definitely become much more drawn out, and they're being incredibly selective. It's possible it's more concentrated in certain divisions or dependent on the criticality of the role.
