It's definitely worth trying to negotiate, especially with 6 years under your belt. Companies often have a little wiggle room, particularly if you've been a high performer. Focus on your contributions and how your departure would impact ongoing projects. Maybe phrase it as needing extra time to find the *right* role, not just *any* role. Good luck!
Don't get your hopes too high. Dropbox is pretty data-driven and probably has standard formulas for severance based on tenure and level. While it doesn't hurt to ask politely, be prepared for them to say no. Document everything carefully in case something feels unfair or inconsistent with what others are offered. Protect yourself.
