Hey everyone, long-time lurker here. Been with Duke Energy for a while and I've noticed a few things lately that have me a bit antsy. Project timelines seem to be getting stretched, some internal hiring freezes are being quietly implemented, and there's definitely a bit more 'belt-tightening' talk than usual in meetings. Not hearing any official word or specific numbers, but the vibe feels different. Has anyone else picked up on this in their departments? Trying to gauge if it's just my area or if there's a broader trend happening. Curious to hear if others are feeling the same unease or have heard any whispers. I've noticed some similar trends in my division. It's subtle, but the communication about future projects has become more guarded, and there's a general sense of caution when discussing budgets. We've also seen some positions remain unfilled longer than expected. It's hard to say definitively, but it does feel like things are slowing down or at least consolidating. Hopefully, it's just a temporary adjustment and not a sign of deeper issues.
