Duke Energy: Seeing a lot of restructuring talk lately?

Hey everyone, has anyone else at Duke been hearing whispers about significant restructuring on the horizon? I'm in [department, e.g., IT/Operations/Engineering] and we've had a few more "town halls" than usual, and the language seems a bit more cautious than usual. Lots of talk about 'efficiency' and 'optimizing resources'. Makes me nervous, honestly. We haven't had any official announcements, but the vibe feels like something is brewing. Just wondering if others are picking up on the same signals, or if I'm just being overly sensitive. Been here a while and this feels different. Curious to hear if anyone has concrete info or just similar gut feelings.

Yeah, I've definitely picked up on that vibe in the [different department] department too. The 'efficiency' and 'optimization' buzzwords are everywhere lately, and it feels a bit different than the usual corporate speak. Interesting you mention that. In [another department], we've also seen an uptick in meetings that feel like they're laying the groundwork for something bigger. The focus on 'resource allocation' has been pretty intense. It's good to hear that it's not just isolated to my team.
