Is anyone else noticing project delays/budget freezes at Duke?

Lately, it feels like a lot of our projects are getting put on the back burner or having their budgets significantly trimmed. There's a lot of talk about 'prioritization' and 'ROI,' which I get, but it's leading to a lot of frustration and stalled progress. I'm starting to wonder if this is a company-wide trend or if it's just my area. Haven't seen any official layoff announcements, but this kind of slowdown often precedes tough decisions. Curious to hear if others are experiencing similar project slowdowns or budget tightening across Duke Energy. Trying to understand the bigger picture here.

Yeah, I've definitely felt that shift too. Seems like every other week there's a new 'strategic realignment' that puts existing work on hold. Budgets are definitely tighter, and getting approval for anything that isn't directly tied to immediate, quantifiable gains is a real challenge. It creates a lot of uncertainty, and frankly, makes it hard to plan effectively. Definitely feels like more than just isolated incidents.

Interesting to hear someone else mention it. My team's projects have also been facing significant scrutiny and delays. The emphasis on ROI is heavy, and anything that doesn't show a clear, short-term benefit is getting pushed back indefinitely. It's making it tough to get momentum going, and the general atmosphere is one of caution rather than growth. Curious if management is communicating any broader reasons for this approach.
