Been here 7 years in R&D at the Wilmington site. Lately, things just feel... off. My manager's been cagey, lots of 'strategic realignment' talk in town halls but no concrete details. Projects are getting shelved left and right, and there's a noticeable hiring freeze even for critical roles. We just lost a few key people in adjacent departments, and while it wasn't announced as layoffs, it feels like it. Anyone else's teams experiencing this? Trying not to spiral, but the uncertainty is killing me. My performance reviews have been solid, and I've been hitting all my project milestones. Just trying to gauge if this is a wider DuPont thing or if I'm overthinking it.

Wilmington R&D, huh? I worked there a few years back, different department though. 'Cagey managers' and 'shelved projects' sounds about right for this company when things get choppy. They've always been prone to restructuring. I wouldn't panic just yet; sometimes these things are just internal reorganizations designed to appease shareholders. Remember that big spin-off talk a few years ago? This might be similar. Try to get clarity from your manager directly if you can, but don't expect much if it's truly strategic.
