DuPont - Anyone seeing unexpected budget cuts?

Been at DuPont for a while and usually, things are pretty predictable, especially around this time of year. But I've noticed some projects being put on hold, travel budgets getting tighter, and a general hesitation to approve new expenses. My manager is being really vague about it, just saying 'strategic realignment.' It’s making it hard to plan for the rest of the year. Wondering if this is happening elsewhere or if my division is just facing specific headwinds. Feels like a precursor to something bigger, and the lack of transparency is unsettling.

I've been hearing similar whispers across a few different teams. It's definitely not just you. The 'strategic realignment' talk is the common refrain. While I haven't seen outright project cancellations, there's a definite chill on new initiatives and a much stricter review process for anything that isn't absolutely mission-critical. It's creating a bit of uncertainty, that's for sure. Hopefully, it's a temporary phase and not indicative of a larger downturn.

That's concerning. My department hasn't experienced anything quite so drastic, but there's definitely been a noticeable tightening of the purse strings lately. Approvals are taking longer, and 'nice-to-have' spending is being deferred. It's a palpable shift from the usual flow. The vagueness from management is the most frustrating part; a little transparency would go a long way in managing expectations and morale right now.
