DuPont - Performance reviews feeling extra brutal?

Hey everyone, long time lurker here. Been with DuPont for about 5 years now, and this year's performance review cycle feels… different. Usually, it's a bit of a slog, but this time around, there seems to be a lot more emphasis on 'areas for improvement' and 'skill gaps.' Got a rating that wasn't what I was expecting, and several colleagues have mentioned similar experiences. There's a general air of unease, and frankly, it's making me nervous. Anyone else in a similar boat? Wondering if this is a company-wide thing or just my department. Trying not to spiral, but the uncertainty is tough.

Yeah, I'm seeing that too. It feels like the goalposts might have shifted, or maybe there's just a new focus from higher up. It's unsettling when you feel like you're doing good work and then get hit with a review that doesn't reflect that. I've been trying to dissect the feedback to see if there's a common thread or if it's just specific managers applying a new standard. Hope things clarify soon.

Interesting you bring this up. Mine felt pretty standard, but I did hear whispers from a few folks on other teams that their reviews were tougher than usual. Maybe it's a pilot program in certain departments, or perhaps just a broader company initiative to really tighten up performance metrics. Keep an eye on how this plays out, could be a sign of bigger changes.
