Hey everyone, haven't seen anything concrete about layoffs, but the general atmosphere feels a bit… off lately. Lots of whispers, people being a bit more cagey than usual. Some departments seem to be consolidating work, and there's a definite push for efficiency. Saw a few roles posted externally that look suspiciously like they could be backfills for people who left quietly. Anyone else picking up on this? Curious if it's site-specific or a broader company trend. Trying not to panic, but also want to be realistic about what might be coming down the pipe.

I'm definitely feeling a similar tension at my location. It's not just whispers; you can see it in people's interactions. The 'efficiency push' feels like a euphemism for 'do more with less,' and the external postings are definitely raising eyebrows. It's hard to shake the feeling that something is shifting, and not necessarily for the better. Trying to stay focused on my work, but the uncertainty is hard to ignore.

Interesting to hear others are sensing it too. We've had a few 'reorganizations' that haven't really clarified anything, just shuffled responsibilities. The 'cagey' vibe is spot on – people are less willing to share information, even on routine matters. It creates a bit of a siloed environment where collaboration suffers. It's creating an undercurrent of anxiety that's hard to brush off, even if nothing official has been announced.
