Anyone else hearing rumors about Q4 at Kingsport?

After the news hit regarding the Perry site, the mood around Kingsport has been absolutely abysmal. Everyone is walking on eggshells. I spoke to my manager yesterday and they acted like they had no idea if more cuts were coming, but we all know better. It feels like we’re just waiting for the next shoe to drop. The communication from the top has been basically non-existent, and the constant 'focus on operational efficiency' talk is just a euphemism for more headcount reductions. Is anyone else in the office hearing about specific departments being targeted next? I’m trying to decide if it’s time to update my resume or if I should wait it out. Just sick of the anxiety of checking my email every Monday morning wondering if I still have a seat.

The uncertainty in Kingsport is honestly suffocating. It feels like we’re in a constant holding pattern while the leadership hides behind corporate jargon. They keep preaching about efficiency, but everyone here knows it’s just code for another round of layoffs. I’ve stopped listening to the town halls because it’s just the same empty script every time. I’m just trying to keep my head down and get through the quarter, but the atmosphere is toxic. I wouldn't be surprised if more departments get gutted before the year ends.

I understand the anxiety, but some of you need to take a step back. These shifts are just part of the current market reality, and Eastman is simply aligning with broader industry trends. The company has to make tough calls to remain competitive in the long run. Constant rumors and fear-mongering on here only make the office culture worse than it actually needs to be. Just focus on your daily output and wait for official word; speculation isn't going to save anyone's job anyway.
