Eastman Chemical - What's the real deal with hiring freezes?

Lurking on here for a while, but wanted to chime in. It feels like hiring has slowed to a crawl across the board at Eastman. We've had several open requisitions in my department that have been 'under review' for months, and some even pulled entirely. Meanwhile, we're expected to deliver the same results, if not more. It's leading to burnout and a general sense of 'do more with less' that's wearing thin. Is this a company-wide strategy to cut costs before a potential restructuring, or is it just a temporary hiccup in the recruitment process?
