Eaton - Rumblings of Changes in the Air?

Hey everyone, been at Eaton for a few years now in the [mention general department, e.g., Engineering] side. Lately, there's been a lot of hushed conversations in the break rooms and on Teams calls. It's not official anything, no memos, no town halls specifically addressing it, but there's definitely a 'vibe'. Some projects are being put on hold, and there's been talk about 'optimizing workflows' and 'synergies'. It feels like a precursor to something, and honestly, it's making things pretty tense. People are looking over their shoulders more than usual. Has anyone else picked up on this? Is it just my department or is there a broader shift happening across Eaton? Trying to gauge if this is just internal noise or something more significant. Any insights would be appreciated, trying to stay ahead of the curve if possible.

I've been feeling it too in [mention general department, e.g., Sales]. It's that unsettling quiet before a storm. 'Optimizing workflows' is corporate speak for 'we're looking at how to cut costs,' usually meaning headcount. The project holds are definitely a bad sign. Trying to stay positive, but it's hard when the uncertainty hangs so heavy in the air. Hopefully, whatever changes are coming, they're for the better and handled transparently.

Interesting to hear others are picking up on the same signals. In [mention general department, e.g., Operations], we've seen a slowdown in new initiatives and a lot more focus on efficiency metrics. It's good to be efficient, but when it comes with the unspoken undercurrent of potential restructuring, it creates anxiety. Let's hope management addresses these concerns directly soon rather than letting rumors fester. Fingers crossed it's just a strategic shift.
