How much longer are we supposed to 'do more with less'?

I’m honestly at my breaking point. Another round of headcount reductions, another announcement about leadership's commitment to our 'long-term vision,' and yet another week where I’m expected to cover the workload of two people who were walked out the door yesterday. Eaton keeps touting these record margins in the investor calls, but the second the growth curve flattens even slightly, it’s straight to the guillotine. I’m tired of the town halls where they talk around the layoffs without actually using the word. At this point, I’m not even worried about getting cut—I’m just worried about the burnout. I’ve started applying elsewhere because this culture of constant anxiety isn't worth the paycheck anymore. Anyone else just completely checked out?

The disconnect between the quarterly earnings calls and the reality on the factory floor is widening every single day. We are expected to hit impossible production targets with skeletal crews, all while leadership collects their bonuses for 'optimizing efficiency.' It is exhausting to watch them celebrate record margins while the people actually doing the work are treated as disposable line items. At this point, the long-term vision they keep preaching feels more like a slow-motion plan to burn out whoever is left standing.

I stopped listening to the town halls a long time ago. They are always the same scripted PR fluff that ignores the burnout everyone is feeling. It is a recurring cycle: they trim the headcount to fluff up the margins for the street, and we are left to pick up the pieces of a broken process. If they really valued the people as much as they say in those canned emails, they would invest in the staff rather than just squeezing us until we eventually walk out the door ourselves.
