Ecolab Hiring Freeze? Or Just Slowdown?

So, I've noticed a significant slowdown in external hiring at Ecolab over the past couple of months. My team has an open req that's been sitting there forever with no updates, and I've heard similar stories from colleagues in other departments. It's not just about new hires either; internal transfers also seem to be on hold. This is happening across different roles and levels, not just for junior positions. Given the economic headwinds, I'm wondering if this is an unofficial hiring freeze or just a general strategic pause. Has anyone else encountered this when trying to bring new people on board or looking to move internally? It definitely contributes to the feeling of unease when you see headcount frozen while workload continues to grow. Wondering if this is a sign of bigger things to come or just a temporary belt-tightening measure.

I've been seeing the same thing. Our department had two critical roles open for months, and now they're just...gone from the internal job board. Even discussions about backfilling roles that people have left have gone completely silent. It's definitely more than just a slow patch; it feels like a deliberate pause across the board, impacting both external candidates and internal movement. Makes you wonder what the long-term strategy is here if they're not bringing in new talent or allowing internal growth.

Interesting to hear others are experiencing this too. We were told it was just 'streamlining the process' when our open position stalled, but it's been months with zero movement or communication. The lack of transparency is frustrating. If there's a hiring freeze or slowdown, it would be helpful to just know so we can adjust expectations, rather than guessing and waiting for updates that never come. Hope it's temporary.
