It is incredibly frustrating to be left in the dark like this. I was part of the recent reduction as well and have heard absolutely nothing beyond the initial announcement. The lack of clear communication from HR makes a difficult situation feel even worse. At this point, I am just trying to figure out when the documents are arriving so I can plan my next steps, but the silence is deafening. You are definitely not the only one feeling this way; the 'restructuring' narrative rings hollow when they treat people like this at the end.
I’m in the same boat here in Ann Arbor. I reached out to my former manager earlier this week, and even they don't have a solid date on when the paperwork will hit our inboxes. It seems like the internal processes are completely bottlenecked or just poorly managed. I agree that the lack of transparency is the worst part of all this. It feels like we are being ghosted after years of hard work. Hang in there; hopefully, we get some clarity before the end of the week.
