Edwards Lifesciences: What's happening with project funding?

Hey everyone. I've been with Edwards for a few years now in R&D, and lately, it feels like a lot of projects are hitting the brakes or getting seriously scaled back. We're seeing budget cuts left and right, and things that were greenlit a few months ago are suddenly 'under review' or outright shelved. Is anyone else experiencing this? Is this a wider company trend, or am I just in a particularly shaky division? Feels a bit unsettling with the general economic climate, but wanted to see if others are feeling the pinch or if it's just my team. Wondering if this is a precursor to something bigger, or just typical Q4/year-end budgeting anxiety amplified. Let me know your thoughts.

I've noticed something similar in my department. It seems like there's a general tightening of the purse strings across the board. While it's definitely a bit concerning, especially given the current economic uncertainty, it's not entirely unexpected. Hopefully, this is a temporary phase and things will pick up again soon. It would be good to hear if management has any plans or insights they can share to address these concerns.

Yeah, the funding situation is definitely a hot topic. We've had a couple of our initiatives put on hold too, which is frustrating. Management keeps talking about prioritizing core business and focusing resources, but it's hard to see the long-term vision when immediate projects are stalled. I'm hoping it's just a strategic shift and not a sign of deeper financial trouble. Keeping an eye on the Q reports for any clues.
