Been seeing a lot of job reqs get pulled or put on hold recently. My manager's been tight-lipped about it, just saying "budget review" and "strategic realignment." But it feels like more than just a typical budget shuffle. Anyone else in engineering or R&D noticing a sudden halt in new hires, or even a slowdown in replacing folks who've left? It's making it hard to plan for Q3/Q4 projects when you don't know if you'll have the headcount. Feels like a soft freeze is already in place, even if they aren't calling it that. Just trying to gauge if this is a site-specific thing or a broader company trend. Wondering if this is the precursor to something bigger.

I've definitely noticed a shift in the past couple of months. Several projects I'm involved with have seen proposed roles go into limbo, and the usual buzz around filling openings has quieted down significantly. It's creating some anxiety about our long-term capacity, especially with upcoming product launches. Hopefully, it's a temporary measure and we'll get some clarity soon about resource allocation.
