Is it just me or are budgets tighter than usual?

Seriously, trying to get approval for even small training requests or software upgrades has become an Olympic sport. My manager is being super cagey about it, just saying "budget constraints" and "re-evaluating priorities." It feels like more than just a normal end-of-year crunch. Travel is also getting scrutinized more than ever. I know MedTech can be cyclical, but this feels different. Anyone else in R&D, sales, or ops noticing this across different departments? Makes you wonder what's coming down the pipeline. Could be a sign of things to come, or maybe just a temporary belt-tightening. Curious to hear if others are seeing the same.

Yeah, it's definitely not just you. We're seeing similar things here, especially with R&D project funding. Things that were a slam dunk a year ago are now facing intense scrutiny, and there's a lot more emphasis on proving ROI almost immediately. Even routine equipment maintenance is being pushed back. It's creating some real headaches for planning long-term initiatives. You can feel the pressure to conserve resources across the board.
