Anyone else feel like the Sword's hanging over us again?

I've been at EA for 7 years now, in the marketing department for a major sports title. Remember back in 2023 when there were those massive layoffs? It feels like that tension is back in the air. Meetings getting cancelled last minute, weird questions about 'efficiency' from the VP, and just a general sense of unease. Maybe it's nothing, but I can't shake the feeling something's coming. Anyone else feeling this?

Totally get what you mean. I was there in '23 too, the atmosphere was thick enough to cut with a knife. Trust your gut. Start quietly updating your resume and LinkedIn profile, just in case. Doesn't hurt to be prepared. Maybe even discreetly reach out to some contacts you trust. Knowledge is power, especially in situations like this. Hope it's nothing, but better safe than sorry.

Honestly, sounds like normal corporate BS to me. VPs are always asking about efficiency, and meetings get canceled all the time. Seven years is a long time to be anywhere; maybe you're just burning out and projecting. Don't let paranoia get the best of you. Unless you have concrete evidence, I'd chalk it up to regular company stuff and try to focus on your work. Overthinking will only make things worse.
