Another layoff at EA? It's becoming a depressingly familiar pattern. Makes you wonder about the long-term stability of the company and the constant churn of talent. Hard to imagine the morale of the remaining employees when this keeps happening. Hopefully, those affected land on their feet quickly. Just a shame to see so many people impacted by what seems like a perpetual restructuring rather than sustainable growth.**
This is rough news for everyone at EA. The gaming industry can be incredibly competitive, and I guess these decisions, however painful, are sometimes seen as necessary to adapt. Still, 670 is a huge number of people. It's always a blow to the community and talent pool when major studios downsize like this. Hoping for transparency on the reasons and support for those leaving.
