Honestly, I'm starting to wonder what the long-term plan is at EA. This feels like the third or fourth significant round of layoffs in as many years. They talk about restructuring or focusing on key titles, but it seems like a constant churn. Are they over-hiring and then just slashing to meet quarterly targets? Or is there a fundamental issue with how they're prioritizing projects and managing resources? It's brutal for the people let go, and it has to impact morale for those remaining. You start questioning your own job security, even if you're on a 'successful' team. Anyone have insights into the internal decision-making process that leads to these repeated cuts? Is it a top-down mandate, or are divisions being forced to make these decisions?

It's hard to see such frequent layoffs and not question the strategy. The narrative often shifts, but the outcome for employees remains the same. Whether it's about hitting short-term financial goals or a deeper issue with long-term vision, the constant restructuring creates instability. It has to make it tough to build a cohesive team and foster genuine loyalty when the rug can be pulled out from under you seemingly at random. You have to wonder about the sustainability of this approach.
