Hey, I totally get the anxiety. Been there, done that, got the layoff notice. Seriously though, EA's been doing this 'restructuring' dance for years, and the review cycle always feels like a pre-cursor. My advice is to document EVERYTHING you've done, quantify your contributions whenever possible (e.g., 'reduced bug reports by X%'), and be prepared to calmly and confidently articulate your value to the company. Good luck, and remember your worth!
Three years in QA for Apex? You're practically a senior citizen there! (No offense, just saying they churn employees a LOT.) Honestly, 'efficiency' talk usually translates to 'we need to cut costs,' and that often means headcount. Manage your expectations. Polish up your resume, start casually looking around, and don't let the review catch you completely off guard. Hope for the best, prepare for the worst. Been burned too many times to trust any review process.
