Emerson Industrials - Q4 outlook looking grim?

Hey everyone, been with Emerson Industrials for a few years now, and things have been feeling... off. We had that big announcement about the automation solutions spin-off/merger, and ever since, there's been a weird vibe. Projects seem to be getting pushed back, and some teams are clearly understaffed, while others are being asked to take on way more. Has anyone else noticed a significant slowdown in their area? Are bookings looking weak for the rest of the year? I'm trying to get a sense if this is a company-wide thing or if it's just my division. Management's been pretty tight-lipped, which isn't helping ease anyone's mind. Just looking for some honest feedback from others in the trenches. What are you hearing from your managers or leadership about future workloads and project pipelines? Anything concrete about headcount freezes or potential adjustments on the horizon?

Yeah, I've felt it too. The post-automation announcement period has definitely been a bit chaotic. There's a lot of restructuring talk, and it feels like it's impacting day-to-day operations more than management is letting on. Definitely seeing some stretched resources in my department, and new initiatives seem to be on indefinite hold. Hope this is just a temporary adjustment period.

My experience has been similar. There's a definite uncertainty in the air, and it's hard to get clear answers on project timelines or future resource allocation. Bookings have been okay for us, but not as robust as previous years, and I'm hearing chatter about tougher competition impacting pricing. Fingers crossed the outlook improves sooner rather than later.
