Seeing some chatter on the boards about the latest WARN notice for the KY operations. 322 people is a heavy hit. I have a few contacts still inside and they’re saying the mood is absolute rock bottom. It sounds like they are moving a significant chunk of production elsewhere to chase lower margins, but honestly, it feels like they’re stripping the company for parts before the next acquisition cycle. If you were impacted by this specific round, I’m sorry—this place used to be a career-long destination, but that’s clearly not the case anymore. Has anyone heard if this is the end of the consolidation for this region, or is this just the first wave of a wider exit strategy? Stay safe everyone.

I worked at that plant for over a decade, and reading this confirms my worst fears. It’s devastating to see the place gutted like this. They’ve been trimming the fat for years, but now they’re cutting into the bone, and it’s obvious that long-term stability isn't the priority anymore. Watching them prioritize short-term margins over the people who actually built their reputation is just sickening. If you’re still there, start looking for an exit strategy immediately because loyalty clearly doesn't mean anything to the leadership team anymore.

The rumors are unfortunately spot on. I’ve been hearing similar rumblings about the shift in production strategy for months, and the scale of this WARN notice is just the latest nail in the coffin for that site. It’s a classic move: optimize the balance sheet to look attractive for a potential buyer or a spin-off, regardless of the human cost. Management has been signaling this shift in focus for a while now, even if they pretend it's about efficiency. Stay safe out there and lean on your network, because this company is definitely heading in a cold, new direction.
