Anyone else feel like projects are getting shelved unexpectedly?

Hey all, been at Equinix for a few years now, mostly in the real estate/development side. Lately, it feels like there's a lot of churn on project prioritization. We'll be full steam ahead on something, then suddenly it's put on hold indefinitely or outright cancelled. Doesn't seem tied to performance on the project itself, more like a shift in the overall strategy or budget. It's making it hard to plan and honestly, a little unnerving. Anyone else seeing this or have any insight into what might be driving these decisions? Feels like we're waiting for something, but nobody's saying what. Makes you wonder about stability, even though there's no official word on anything.

Yeah, I've definitely noticed a similar trend lately. It feels like the goalposts keep moving, and resources that were allocated to one initiative are suddenly diverted elsewhere without much explanation. It makes it tough to build momentum and can be pretty demoralizing for the teams involved. I'm not on the development side, but the ripple effect is palpable across departments. Hoping for a bit more stability soon.

I can relate to this. There have been a few instances where projects I was heavily involved in were paused or canceled very suddenly. It's frustrating because it feels like wasted effort, and it's hard to understand the rationale when things are going well technically. I've heard whispers about budget reallocations and shifting market demands, but concrete information is scarce. It does make you question the long-term vision sometimes.
