Performance reviews feel extra harsh this year...

So, performance review season is upon us, and wow, it feels like the bar has been raised significantly, or maybe the goalposts have moved. I'm hearing from several colleagues that they're getting less than stellar feedback, even from people who have consistently met or exceeded expectations in the past. It's making me nervous, honestly. Is anyone else experiencing this? Are the metrics being scrutinized more heavily, or is there a push to manage ratings downwards? It's creating a lot of anxiety, and frankly, it feels like a precursor to something else. Just putting this out there to see if it's a shared sentiment.

Yeah, I've definitely felt the shift. It seems like even the smallest misstep is being amplified, and the praise feels a lot more muted.
