Any rumblings about Q3 restructuring plans?

Is it just me, or has the vibe in the office been incredibly tense lately? Ever since the last town hall, the leadership team seems to be dodging direct questions about the budget outlook for the remainder of the fiscal year. We keep hearing about 'operational efficiency' and 'streamlining brand portfolios,' which—let’s be honest—is usually code for headcount reduction. I’ve noticed a lot of back-channel chatter in the Slack groups about delayed project approvals and a sudden obsession with granular time-tracking for non-billable hours. It feels like management is preparing a list before they actually drop the hammer. Has anyone else heard whispers of a formal RIF coming down the pipeline before the end of the quarter? I’ve been here for years, but the transparency has hit an all-time low. I’m starting to polish my resume just in case, because the 'wait and see' approach is getting exhausting.

The writing is definitely on the wall. When they start throwing around buzzwords like 'operational efficiency' and 'brand portfolio optimization,' you already know the next step is a round of layoffs. I’ve been through a few of these cycles here, and the silence from leadership regarding the budget is never a good sign. It’s better to update your resume now rather than waiting for the official announcement in the next all-hands meeting. Keep your head down and start networking outside the company while you still have the bandwidth.
