Hey everyone, been with Estee for a few years now and lately, there's been a lot of chatter around 'optimization' and 'streamlining processes' in town halls. It feels a bit vague, and honestly, it’s making me nervous. It's not a direct layoff announcement, but the language is giving me flashbacks to previous companies where this kind of talk preceded significant headcount reductions. I'm wondering if anyone else is picking up on this vibe or has insights into what these 'optimizations' might actually entail? Are specific departments being targeted or is it more of a broad brush approach? Just trying to get a pulse on the situation before things potentially get real. I've been hearing similar whispers. It's definitely unsettling when management starts talking about efficiency and streamlining without being completely transparent. It's natural to feel anxious when that language is used, especially if you've seen it lead to negative outcomes elsewhere. Hopefully, it's just about improving workflows and not a euphemism for something more drastic.

I can understand the concern. The corporate world often uses carefully chosen words. 'Optimization' can mean many things, and unfortunately, it's frequently associated with cost-cutting measures that impact people. It would be helpful if leadership provided more concrete examples of what these changes entail and how they're expected to benefit the company and its employees in the long run.
