EL stock price vs. reality on the ground

Every earnings call, they paint this picture of a 'transformational journey' for the company, but for those of us on the ground, it just feels like the slow death of a thousand cuts. The lack of clear direction from the top is painful. We’re constantly pivoting strategies, blowing up projects that were already 70% done, and then wondering why morale is in the basement. It’s hard to stay motivated when you feel like a headcount spreadsheet entry rather than a person. I keep waiting for the other shoe to drop. Anyone hearing anything about potential headcount reduction in the North America supply chain or marketing sectors? I’d rather know now than be blindsided by a calendar invite on a Friday morning.

The dissonance between the investor relations slide decks and the actual workplace environment is staggering. Management seems completely detached from the reality of the burnout happening in the trenches. When you kill off projects that are nearly finished just to pivot to another flavor-of-the-month initiative, you aren't being agile—you are just wasting talent. The stock might hold up for now, but the internal brain drain is the real long-term liability that shareholders aren't factoring in yet.

I honestly don't know who they are trying to convince anymore. The internal culture has become a revolving door of middle managers scrambling to justify their existence while the core brand identity gets watered down by endless, conflicting strategy shifts. It’s exhausting to watch people put in genuine effort only to have it discarded because leadership lacks the backbone to stick to a long-term vision. The constant restructuring is definitely a symptom of a much deeper problem that no earnings report can mask forever.
