Hang on, 'realignments' and 'streamlining' sounds a lot like what happened at my previous company before significant layoffs. While it's not always the case, that 'tense' atmosphere and constant budget scrutiny can be a red flag. Maybe start discreetly networking outside of EL, just to keep your options open?
