Anyone else getting 'reorganization' vibes lately?

Is it just me, or has the communication from leadership become incredibly vague over the last few weeks? We used to get semi-regular updates on projects, but now it feels like all we hear is silence and cryptic comments about 'operational efficiency.' I’ve been through a few cycles here before and this current atmosphere feels eerily similar to the quiet periods right before a major restructure announcement. I’ve noticed a lot of back-to-back meetings on leadership calendars that weren't there a month ago, and the middle management team looks like they’re walking on eggshells. Has anyone heard anything concrete, or are we all just feeling the same phantom anxiety? I’m genuinely wondering if I should start updating my resume just in case, or if I’m just being paranoid because of the market climate. Just feels like there’s a big shoe waiting to drop.

I’ve been tracking those same calendar patterns for the past two weeks. It’s definitely not just you. The 'operational efficiency' buzzword is the classic corporate shorthand for headcount reductions. Back when they did the last major shift, the radio silence from the top floor was the exact same red flag. If your manager is suddenly dodging simple questions about project timelines, it’s safe to assume they’re already briefed on the plan and just can’t say anything yet. Keep your resume updated and make sure you’ve backed up any personal files you might need.

Honestly, I think you’re reading way too much into this. Leadership is probably just heads-down trying to navigate the current regulatory landscape and shifting energy demands. Every time things get quiet, everyone on here immediately jumps to the worst-case scenario about restructuring. It’s exhausting to see the constant doom-scrolling every time a few meetings get scheduled. Business as usual usually just means boring, quiet work. Just focus on your own output and stop trying to play detective with leadership's calendar—it’s not worth the unnecessary stress.
