Anyone else hearing whispers about restructuring? Seems quiet...

Hey all, been with Eversource in the grid modernization group for about 5 years now. Lately, it feels like things are… different. Meetings are shorter, some projects seem to be on indefinite pause, and there's this general low hum of anxiety. My direct manager is being cagey, just saying 'business as usual,' but skip-level is even more tight-lipped. Anyone else in other departments picking up on similar vibes? Is it just me overthinking things, or is there something brewing? Trying to get a feel for what's really going on before it hits the fan, if it even does. Curious if anyone has concrete info or just general observations.

I hear you. I'm in a different department, but the atmosphere feels a bit tense lately. Project timelines are shifting, and there's definitely a sense of uncertainty that wasn't there a year ago. Management's 'everything is fine' narrative doesn't quite match the feeling on the ground. It's good you're asking around; staying informed is key. Hopefully, it's just a temporary dip or a strategic shift that will become clearer soon. Keep your ears open and maybe start updating that resume, just in case.

Hmm, 'whispers' and 'anxiety' sounds like a lot of people reading too much into normal business cycles. Eversource is a massive utility; there are always projects being paused, reprioritized, and teams shifting focus. Grid modernization is a huge undertaking, and it's bound to have its ups and downs. Maybe your manager is being cagey because there's no concrete news to share yet, or it's sensitive internal stuff. Unless you see actual layoffs or major organizational chart changes, I'd chalk it up to standard corporate ebb and flow. Don't let the rumor mill get you too stressed.
