Eversource - Performance review season and upcoming goals

Hi all, With performance review season approaching at Eversource, I'm bracing myself. Last year's review felt a bit like a formality, but this year feels different. There's a lot of talk about "efficiency" and "streamlining operations." My manager has been pushing hard on individual performance metrics, and honestly, it feels like they're setting the stage for something. I'm not hearing explicit layoff chatter, but the emphasis on individual productivity and the general economic climate make me wonder about future workforce adjustments. Are others finding their managers are putting more pressure on them? Or are you seeing new, more demanding goals being set that feel harder to achieve? Trying to figure out if this is a company-wide push or just my specific team being put through the wringer. Any advice on how to navigate this? Should I be proactively updating my resume, or is this just standard corporate speak during review cycles? Appreciate any thoughts.

Yeah, I'm feeling a similar vibe. The focus on individual metrics and 'efficiency' definitely raises an eyebrow, especially with how things are going elsewhere. It's a tough climate, and it makes you wonder what the long-term plan really is. Hoping for the best, but preparing for potential shifts feels like the smart move right now. Keep us posted if you hear anything more concrete.

I've noticed the increased emphasis on individual performance too. It's understandable that companies want to optimize, but when it feels like it's solely about hitting numbers without much consideration for the workload or support, it can be pretty stressful. Hopefully, the 'streamlining' leads to actual improvements for everyone and not just a way to justify headcount reductions. Good luck with your review!
