Exelon: Any word from HR on upcoming changes?

Been hearing a lot of background noise about potential restructuring at Exelon, but nothing concrete. It feels like every department is being asked to justify its existence or find ways to cut costs. My team's workload hasn't decreased, but the resources definitely feel stretched thinner. I tried to get some clarity from HR during a recent team meeting Q&A, but the response was pretty generic – something about 'adapting to market conditions' and 'ensuring long-term sustainability'. It didn't really address the underlying concern about job security. Has anyone else had direct conversations with HR or seen internal comms that shed more light on what 'strategic adjustments' might actually mean for roles? Appreciate any insights, even if it's just anecdotal observations from different sites or business units.

I'm in a similar boat. The 'market conditions' talk is vague and frankly, a bit concerning when you're seeing the same amount of work with fewer tools. It's hard to stay motivated when you feel like your role is constantly under review. Hopefully, HR provides some more transparency soon, or at least some reassurance that the team's contributions are valued beyond just cost-effectiveness.

Yeah, the 'long-term sustainability' line feels like corporate speak for 'prepare for cuts.' My department is already lean, so finding ways to 'cut costs' without impacting essential functions feels like a tightrope walk. I'm worried about what this means for job security and morale across the company. Wish there was more direct communication about what's actually happening.
