Exelon: Anyone else feeling the budget squeeze lately?

Hey everyone, been at Exelon for a few years now and things have felt…different lately. Not seeing any official layoff announcements, but the vibe in my department is definitely tense. We've had a lot of 'efficiency' meetings, and budgets seem to be getting tighter across the board. Projects are getting put on hold, and there's a general sense of 'doing more with less.' Anyone else experiencing this? Is this just the usual end-of-year budget crunch, or is there something more going on? Trying not to panic, but it's hard not to when you hear whispers and see the resources drying up. Just looking for some shared experiences or any intel out there. Thanks.

Yeah, I've definitely noticed the same thing. Feels like we're all being asked to stretch ourselves thinner than usual. Lots of talk about optimizing resources and streamlining processes, which I get, but it's starting to impact the day-to-day work and definitely adds to the stress. Hoping it's just a temporary phase and not a sign of bigger changes to come.

Same here. The "efficiency" drive is in full swing, and it feels like every dollar is being scrutinized. Projects that were a sure thing a few months ago are now stuck in limbo. It's creating a bit of an anxious atmosphere, and frankly, it's making it hard to plan ahead or even feel secure in our current roles. Hoping for some clarity soon.
