Exelon: Performance reviews and whispers of 'efficiency drives'

Hey everyone, been a bit quiet here regarding Exelon lately, but has anyone else noticed the increased focus on 'efficiency' and 'streamlining' in recent town halls and internal comms? Performance review season is wrapping up and it feels like the pressure is really on. Lots of talk about 'doing more with less' and optimizing resources. Not hearing any direct layoff talk, but the general tone feels a bit… tense. Just trying to gauge if this is a company-wide push or if it's more isolated to certain departments. Anyone else feeling this or have any insights into what might be brewing? Trying not to jump to conclusions, but the atmosphere has definitely shifted from what it was a year ago. Curious to hear what others are seeing and hearing, especially from different business units within Exelon.

I've definitely felt that same buzz around Exelon. Town halls have been heavy on the "optimization" language, and yeah, the performance reviews felt particularly pointed this cycle. It's like they're trying to squeeze every last drop of productivity out. While I haven't heard concrete layoff rumors, the overall atmosphere is definitely more watchful and a bit strained. Hoping it's just a standard push for better performance and not a precursor to something more drastic.

Interesting to hear someone else picked up on the "efficiency drives" at Exelon. The "doing more with less" mantra has been non-stop in our team meetings lately. It makes you wonder what the end goal is. Performance reviews are always a bit nerve-wracking, but this year felt like there was a definite undercurrent of urgency tied to these optimization efforts. Curious to see if this translates into any tangible changes beyond internal messaging.
