Looking for some insight here. I'm not directly impacted as far as I know, but I've heard some chatter from a former colleague who still has contacts there. They mentioned some departments in the grid/operations side might be looking at restructuring, possibly leading to some job cuts. Again, this is purely hearsay and not confirmed. Has anyone in those areas seen anything concrete? Like hiring freezes, mass transfers, or unusually quiet managers? Trying to gauge if this is just market noise or if there's something actually brewing. Appreciate any real info, even if it's just anecdotal observations from those working within Exelon right now.

I can understand the anxiety around layoff rumors. The energy sector can be quite cyclical. While I haven't encountered any direct evidence of restructuring or job cuts in my area, I agree that unusual manager behavior or hiring freezes would be strong indicators.
