It is honestly exhausting to watch this happen repeatedly. Even if 58 people seems like a drop in the bucket compared to the thousands let go previously, it keeps everyone on high alert. You spend half the day wondering if you're next instead of actually focusing on your projects. The culture here has completely evaporated, and honestly, the leadership team doesn't seem to have a real long-term strategy beyond just trimming the fat every few months. I’m starting to look for an exit strategy myself because I’m tired of waiting for the next shoe to drop.
I understand the frustration, but these rolling cuts are exactly how they stay under the radar while hitting their efficiency targets. It’s a deliberate strategy to prevent the massive PR backlash that comes with a big, singular layoff event. It sucks for those left behind, but management clearly values their stock price and operational margins over office morale. If you’re still there, stop looking for job security and start looking for your next gig. The days of feeling stable at this company are long gone, and the writing is on the wall for everyone.
