What's the vibe post-Expedia layoffs?

The news is out there, and it sounds like a significant number of people are gone as of July 9th. Just curious to hear from those who are still at Expedia, or those who were impacted and are willing to share. What's the general mood like? Are people working harder now? Is there a fear of more cuts to come? I'm not in a directly affected role myself, but the ripples are definitely being felt. Communication from leadership has been pretty minimal, which doesn't help the anxiety. Wondering if this is a 'new normal' for the travel industry, or if it's specific to Expedia's current strategy. Trying to understand the broader implications beyond just the immediate job losses. Anyone have insights into how the company is handling this internally, beyond the official statements?

It's tough all around. The lack of clear communication from the top definitely adds to the uncertainty. You can feel the tension, and folks are understandably worried about what's next. Trying to stay focused on the work, but it's hard when you're not sure if your role is secure. Hope things stabilize soon for everyone.

Definitely a weird atmosphere. People are picking up the slack, but there's a palpable sense of unease. It's understandable, given the circumstances. I've heard from a few folks who were let go, and it's a rough transition. Hoping for more transparency from leadership to ease some of the anxiety for those remaining.
