I’m based out of one of the Inland Empire facilities and the atmosphere in the office right now is absolutely suffocating. We had the ABC7 report drop earlier confirming the cuts for the region, and since 9 AM, I’ve seen three senior leads escorted out. It’s the same old song and dance—HR sits you down, hands you a folder, and your badge stops working before you even get your desk cleared out. I’ve been with FedEx for eight years and the way this was handled feels particularly cold. They aren’t even giving us the courtesy of a meeting to explain what the future structure looks like. Just radio silence and a creeping dread every time a manager walks by someone’s cubicle. Is anyone else hearing if this is just corporate staff or are the station managers getting the axe too? I’m worried that this isn’t just a trimming of the fat, but a total restructuring that’s going to leave the remaining staff drowning in twice the workload for the same pay. If you’re in a SoCal hub, sound off below. Trying to figure out if my team is next on the chopping block.

I am over at the ONT hub and the vibe is just as miserable. My manager hasn't even looked me in the eye all morning, just staring at his screen like he’s waiting for the executioner to swing the axe. After years of grinding through peak seasons, seeing people marched out by security is a real wake-up call. They don't care about tenure or loyalty; we’re just numbers on a spreadsheet that need to be trimmed to satisfy the quarterly earnings report. Pack your stuff discreetly and keep your head down today.

It is honestly refreshing to see someone else calling out this garbage. I’ve heard the same rumors circulating through the regional channels all week, and the silence from upper management is deafening. They love to talk about the 'FedEx family' during the holiday rush, but as soon as the margins tighten, they treat us like strangers. If you haven't been hit yet, update your resume and start looking for an exit strategy immediately. Nobody should stay loyal to a company that treats its veterans like a security threat the moment they are no longer profitable.
