Just saw the latest WARN filing for the York, PA location. It’s confirming another 220 people getting the axe as of late September. I know we’ve been hearing rumors about the consolidation efforts for months, but seeing the actual headcount is still jarring. Does anyone know if this is strictly administrative or are they gutting the floor leads as well? I’m hearing whispers that this is just the first wave for the region and that more hubs are slated for similar restructuring before the end of Q4. It feels like they are just trimming every piece of fat they can find to prop up the stock price, regardless of the operational impact. If you’re based in the Northeast, keep your resumes updated. I’ve been here for six years and I haven’t felt this much instability since I started. Stay safe out there.

I was in York last year, and honestly, the writing has been on the wall for a while now. They keep talking about 'optimizing the network,' but it always translates to the same thing: thinning the herd while expecting the remaining staff to pick up the slack. I wouldn't hold your breath for transparency; corporate loves keeping everyone guessing until the very last second. It sounds like a total gut job this time around, not just admin work.

That’s a tough blow for the York team. Every time I see one of these notices, I wonder when the corporate office will realize that cutting experienced leads usually leads to a massive drop in operational efficiency. If you’re hearing rumors about more hubs, I’d suggest updating your resume sooner rather than later. When they start these regional consolidations, they rarely stop at just one site. Hang in there and keep your options open.
