Fifth Third - Anyone else’s team suddenly under intense scrutiny?

Is it just me or has the microscope been turned up to 11 on my team lately? Performance metrics that were always challenging but achievable are suddenly being presented as dangerously behind, and the 'why' explanations are vague. There's a lot of talk about 'strategic alignment' and 'driving shareholder value', which I get, but the execution feels like it's ratcheting up pressure to a point where it feels unsustainable. I've heard through the grapevine about other teams facing similar situations. Not trying to stir panic, but the constant questioning and focus on marginal gains is making it hard to focus on the actual work. Anyone else experiencing this level of 'focused attention' from leadership?

I'm seeing similar pressure in my department, though maybe not quite at the '11' level yet. It feels like there's a general push from leadership to squeeze out every last drop of efficiency and 'value'. The vague 'why' is definitely frustrating, and the talk of strategic alignment often feels like a cover for demanding more with fewer resources. Just trying to keep my head down and focus on what I can control.

Yes! Absolutely. My team has been under the same microscope. The metrics have shifted, and the goalposts feel like they're moving constantly. It’s created a really tense atmosphere, and honestly, it's starting to impact morale. I’ve been trying to push back on the vagueness by asking for more concrete examples and measurable targets, but it's an uphill battle. Feels like we're all just bracing for impact.
