I've been with Fifth Third for a while too, and I'm definitely picking up on that same feeling. It's hard to put a finger on it, but there seems to be a general sense of regrouping happening. My department hasn't had a lot of clarity on Q3 goals lately, which is unusual for us. I'm also considering expanding my internal network; it never hurts to stay connected with people across different areas of the bank.
Interesting to read this. I'm in a different division, but the quiet from higher-ups about long-term strategy is noticeable. We've seen some project reprioritization, and the usual all-hands meetings have been less frequent. It could just be the natural ebb and flow of business, but your observation about a 'different vibe' resonates. I agree, keeping those lines of communication open internally seems prudent right now.
