FirstEnergy - what's the real story?

Been at FE for a while and the lack of clear communication is getting old. They keep talking about 'efficiency' and 'streamlining,' which usually translates to headcount reduction in my experience. Heard through the grapevine that some roles are being consolidated, but nothing concrete. My team's workload hasn't decreased, so if there are cuts, they're not making sense from an operational standpoint. Anyone in IT, engineering, or corporate services seeing anything significant? Feels like we're flying blind here. Are there any internal surveys or feedback channels that are actually listened to? Or is it just lip service? Curious to hear from others who might have more insight into what's actually happening behind the scenes. This constant ambiguity is making it hard to plan anything.

I'm in engineering and yeah, the 'streamlining' talk is definitely making people nervous. We've seen some projects get re-prioritized, which feels like a precursor to bigger changes. The lack of transparency is the worst part – it breeds rumors and lowers morale. It's hard to stay motivated when you don't know what's coming. Hoping for some clear communication soon, but based on past experiences, I'm not holding my breath.
