Just saw the official WARN notice for the Stamford location. 140 people let go effective July 1st. It’s brutal to see this happen right at the start of the new quarter. I’ve been hearing rumblings about restructuring for months, but seeing the actual headcount reduction confirmed is a different level of stress. For those of us still in the building or working remote, what’s the atmosphere like for you guys? I’m hearing some departments are getting hit harder than others, but it feels like the 'efficiency' initiatives are just getting started. Is anyone getting any straight answers from management, or is it just the usual corporate jargon about 'streamlining operations'? Trying to figure out if I should start polishing my resume immediately or if there’s still some stability here. Stay safe everyone.

The mood here is incredibly heavy today. It feels like everyone is walking on eggshells, just waiting for the next round of shoes to drop. People are avoiding eye contact in the hallways and the usual office banter has completely vanished. It’s hard to stay focused when you’re constantly checking your email for meeting invites from HR. Honestly, the uncertainty is worse than the news itself at this point. I just feel awful for everyone who lost their jobs on such short notice.

Management has been telegraphing this for a while, but that doesn't make it any less cold. They love to talk about 'restructuring' and 'efficiency' while the rest of us are left to pick up the pieces of the projects left behind. It’s a classic corporate move—trim the budget at the start of the quarter to look good for the shareholders, completely ignoring the human cost. If you’re still there, start updating your resume now; loyalty to this company clearly doesn't buy you any job security.
