Fiserv - Anyone else seeing the hiring freeze discussions?

Hey everyone, been at Fiserv for a few years now in [Department/Team, e.g., Product Development]. Lately, there's been a lot of chatter internally about a soft hiring freeze. Open roles seem to be getting put on hold, and approvals are taking ages, if they're happening at all. Managers are being really tight-lipped about it, but the vibe is definitely shifting. I haven't seen any official announcements, but the lack of new hires and the general quietness around expansion plans is making me a bit uneasy. Anyone else in different departments noticing this? Is this a company-wide thing, or specific to certain areas? Trying to gauge if it's just us or if there's a bigger picture I'm missing. Feels like things are tightening up across the board.

Yeah, I've definitely noticed the slowdown too. Seems like the pipeline for new roles has just dried up over the last quarter. Getting any kind of headcount approved is proving incredibly difficult, and people who left aren't being replaced in many cases. It's creating some real strain on existing teams trying to keep up with the workload. Hoping it's a temporary thing and not a sign of bigger issues.

That's interesting you bring that up. My team has been feeling the pinch of a hiring freeze for a while now. We had a few critical roles open up, and approvals have been stalled indefinitely. It's making it tough to onboard new talent and distribute the work effectively. The lack of transparency is also frustrating; more communication would go a long way in managing expectations across the board.
