Fiserv - Project cancellations and headcount freezes?

Hey all, been at Fiserv for a few years now in a tech role. Lately, I've been noticing a lot of our 'green-lit' projects are suddenly being put on indefinite hold or outright cancelled. Budgets are getting slashed left and right, and there's this general feeling of unease about 'resource optimization.' My manager is being cagey, but the vibe I'm getting is that headcount isn't just frozen, but they might be looking to 'streamline' in certain areas. Has anyone else in different departments (sales, ops, product) experienced something similar? Is it just my division or is this a company-wide thing? Trying to gauge if this is just normal Q3/Q4 budget tightening or something more serious. Really hope it's not the latter, but the signs are definitely there.

I've been seeing similar trends in my division. It's definitely unsettling when projects you've poured energy into suddenly vanish. The 'resource optimization' talk feels like a euphemism for something more drastic, and the lack of clear communication from leadership is only amplifying the anxiety. Trying to stay focused on current tasks, but it's hard not to worry about what's next.

Yeah, the whispers are definitely circulating. In my team, we've had a couple of key initiatives shelved with little explanation beyond budget reviews. It's creating a pretty tense atmosphere, and folks are understandably concerned about job security. Hoping it's just a temporary belt-tightening, but the silence on specifics isn't helping anyone feel more secure.
